GUERLAIN Habit Rouge Prive EDP, opens with a bright, sophisticated pairing of bergamot and ginger, which provides a modern energy without the "citrus-dust" feel of the older EDT. The heart is defined by a heavy dose of tanned leather and patchouli, creating an intense backbone that feels much more "rugged-chic" than the dandy-esque original. As it dries down, it settles into a rich, resinous Guerlinade vanilla, but it remains dry and woody rather than overtly sweet. It smells like a brand-new high-end leather aroma.
