Ralph Lauren Chaps Musk Cologne, is a musky fougere fragrance. Often described as a crisper and greener oakmoss infused version of original Chaps. It opens with a bright, slightly sharp blast of citrus and lavender shot through with a distinctive licorice-like anise note, quickly settling into a powdery, dark-green aromatic character that feels like a greener, less soapy take on classic barbershop fougères. In the heart, geranium and warm spices mingle with a soft white honey sweetness, giving it a mildly animalic, leathery edge before the drydown arrives: a warm, woody base of sandalwood, patchouli, amber, and a smooth musk that never turns harsh or overly dirty. The overall impression is a vintage woody chypre—musky, powdery, and warm-spicy.
