THIERRY MUGLER Pure Tonka EDT, opens with intense lavender, but this quickly gives way to a heart of roasted coffee beans and bitter cacao. The star of the scent is the dry down, where a massive, "syrupy" dose of tonka bean creates a smooth, toasted sugar effect that mimics the smell of caramelized maple and warm licorice. It smells like freshly ground espresso, burnt sugar, and dried herbs.
